Solving Nonlinear Differential Equations of Power System dynamics with Differentiable Quantum Circuits

Abstract: The integration of massive electric vehicle in the power grid might requires the revisiting analysis of power system stability and reliability, which cannot be tackled under conventional computational method. Within this context, our research focuses on developing a quantum computing methods for dynamic analysis of the energy system. Our method leverages the differentiable programming in combination with quantum computer, namely differentiable quantum circuit. We showcase our initial result with the simplified power system model of single machine infinite bus.
