DATA COMPETITION FOR
AN EQUITABLE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM DESIGN

CR2C2 is organizing a data competition open to all NCA&T students. The goal is to develop data-driven solutions for equitable transportation. Participants will identify problems and create solutions for equitable community and transportation planning, focusing on rural and underserved communities.
With guidance from local experts—including the Aging, Disability & Transit Services team and County officials—students take a trip to Rockingham County to explore the challenges and opportunities surrounding rural transportation, engaging with community stakeholders to design innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance accessibility, equity, and infrastructure for residents.
Stages of Competition
Stage 1: Introduction and Training (Sep 6-15)
Stage 2: Concept Design (Sep 17 - Oct 14)
Stage 3: Final Design (Oct 16-Nov 16)
