CR2C2 Welcomes Winston Salem Career Center Drone Technology Class for an Interactive Facility Tour
On February 6th, the Center for Rural and Regional Connected Communities welcomed 10 students and staff from the Winston Salem Career Center’s drone technology class for a facility tour. The group, with interests in engineering, computer science, drone technology, crewed flight, building UAVs, and programming, was able to tour our drone and autonomous vehicle technologies and participate in hands-on activities.
Alongside the departmental tour provided by our Aggie Ambassadors, the students left not only with a deeper understanding of what North Carolina A&T State University has to offer but also with an expanded view of career paths within engineering they can explore. They also engaged in Q&A sessions with CR2C2 graduate students, who were able to provide additional demonstrations and received talks and presentations from various professors.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to inspire these students and can’t wait to see the incredible things they’ll achieve in the future!
