CR2C2 Networking Event at TRB 2025

On January 6, 2025, the Center for Regional and Rural Connected Communities (CR2C2) hosted an unforgettable networking and information exchange event during the annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) meeting. Held at the elegant Fig & Olive, the event brought together a diverse crowd of approximately 75 attendees, including students, faculty, and industry professionals.

Attendees engaged in meaningful discussions about transportation research and emerging innovations in the industry. Hung on the walls throughout the venue were research posters showcasing the exceptional work of students and professors from CR2C2’s consortium members: the University of Kentucky, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, the University of Alabama, North Carolina A&T State University, Clemson University, and the University of Georgia.

Each poster highlighted the contributions of the consortium to the transportation field, sparking lively conversations and inspiring new ideas for collaboration. Attendees explored topics ranging from rural mobility solutions to transportation safety, engaging conversations filled the room, making the gathering a memorable kickoff to TRB 2025.
